Ok, if your gryphons stay out of screen like on Mejon's picture :

Try to go into video options (i believe its there) and check windowed mode (dont worry it wont be windowed) and then maximized This little trick worked both for me and Oskara so maybe it will help someone else. It of course does not simply show the gryphons and nothing more cuz it would be quite pointless, but it gets the whole resolution better (for me it sharpened edges of players etc)

It looks like Mejon doesn't. I wasnt playing windowed mode quite long also (until i started to care about my interface).
